Martin har för tillfället en utställning med 11 teckningar av drakar på The Great Oak Cafe som även är utställningsutrymme. De var beställda av staden och 10 av dem blev gjutna och hängda på olika historiska byggnader runt om i stan. Det är fråga om en slags skattjakt, The Dragontrail. Draken är Wales officiella symbol för att den är viktig inom walesisk och keltisk mytologi.

Martin förklarar hur han har tecknat drakarna med hjälp av traditiionella tekniker:
Says artist Martin Herbert - "Although what was called for was really a set of graphic designs to be passed to the sculptor (Sue Thornton) for modelling, I didn't want to simply turn them out on the computer - I believe that craftsmanship is something that needs to be brought back to contemporary art. The drawings are done using some of the oldest drawing techniques used by masters such as Da Vinci and Rafael. The paper is prepared using a diluted wash of red egg-tempera which is hand-made by the artist by grinding red iron oxide pigment with a medium composed of Dammar varnish, beaten egg and water. The drawing is done with red and sepia earth-colour based pencil and highlighted with white chalk pencil and white egg-tempera or gouache. Sepia ink is also used on some of the drawings. Altogether this gives the drawings an air of antiquity similar to original drawings from the Renaissance"
